About This Access Site
Taylors Landing provides public boat access to the Missouri River near Rocheport in Cooper County. The ramp has been relocated to a new location (marked as "Taylor's Access" on some maps) and is tucked back into the riverbank with a slight downstream orientation. Note that the ramp can be difficult to spot, especially at night, though it's marked with a flag and flasher.

As a major river system (Stream Order 10), the Missouri carries substantial water volume with an average flow of over 121,000 cubic feet per second and velocity around 7.4 feet per second. Paddlers and boaters should be prepared for strong currents and the river's considerable size. The landing provides critical public access to a remote area of the county and connects to the Missouri River Water Trail system, with nearby access points including Tate Island Conservation Area and other regional landings. The area falls within the Big Muddy National Fish and Wildlife Refuge region, offering opportunities to explore some of the largest free-flowing river habitat in the United States.
