This unimproved boat ramp on Highway 19's southwest side provides convenient access to Terra Ceia Bay for kayakers, canoeists, and shallow-draft vessels. The ramp is best used at mid to high tide, when water depths are more favorable for launching smaller boats. An alternate improved ramp is available at the end of Moccasin Wallow Road if conditions here are unfavorable, though Bishop Harbor's shallow depths and dense seagrass limit its usefulness for larger watercraft.
Once on the water, paddlers will find Terra Ceia Bay suitable for fishing and exploration, with deeper channels and cleaner water available near the mouth where mangrove cuts run deeper. The area offers no facilities at this access point, so plan accordingly. Note that this is an aquatic preserve with limited infrastructure, making it ideal for those seeking a more natural paddling experience away from developed boat ramps.
