Texana Park and Campground offers a full-service boat ramp facility on Lake Texana, a 11,000+ acre reservoir created by Palmetto Bend Dam on the Lavaca River system. The park is located 4 miles south of Edna on State Highway 111 and features a lighted boat ramp operated by the Lavaca-Navidad River Authority (LNRA). This access point is ideal for kayakers and boaters looking to launch onto the expansive lake for paddling and fishing.
The park itself provides excellent amenities beyond water access, including camping options ranging from full-hookup RV sites to water-only tent camping, fishing piers, hiking trails, and playgrounds. The facility is open year-round with no fees, making it a convenient and affordable launch point. For paddlers planning a longer trip, overnight camping right on the water or in the surrounding Live Oak forest is available. Contact the LNRA at (361) 782-5456 for current conditions and additional information about water levels or seasonal considerations.
