About This Access Site
The Pines Resort and Marina offers convenient boat access to Bass Lake in Madera County, California. This popular recreation area is known for its scenic mountain setting and variety of water activities.

Kayakers, canoeists, and small boat owners have two public launch options at Bass Lake. The Pines Resort and Marina on the north shore provides a private boat ramp, with a $20 launch fee for non-guests. Alternatively, the public Wishon Point boat ramp is located on the southeast side of the lake near the dam, with a $7 per day parking fee.

Both launch sites provide access to Bass Lake, which is a medium-sized reservoir surrounded by pine forests. A 5 mph speed limit or "no wake" rule is in effect between sunset or 8 pm (whichever is earlier) and 8 am, making it well-suited for peaceful paddling. Nearby campgrounds and other recreation areas offer additional opportunities for visitors to enjoy the natural beauty of this scenic Sierra Nevada setting.
