About This Access Site
Thomas Hill Lake offers a scenic paddling and boating destination near College Mound in Macon County. The access site features a concrete boat ramp with gravel parking, providing convenient entry to the reservoir. This location is one of three ramps available on the lake and is situated on the west side at mid-lake off 1180 Road, making it a good option for exploring different sections of the water.

To reach the ramp, take Highway 63 to Excello, then head west on Highway T for six miles toward College Mound. From there, turn north on Highway C and immediately west on Highway T for 2.3 miles to Glider Avenue, then follow that road west toward the ramp. Kayakers and canoeists will appreciate the scenic reservoir setting, which also supports fishing opportunities. The area is part of a larger conservation area with facilities and is near Long Branch Lake, offering additional recreation options in the region.
