About This Access Site
The Thornapple River Boat Launch is a Michigan DNR access point located off Thornapple Road, approximately one mile north of M-82 in Hastings. This well-maintained ramp provides convenient access to the Thornapple River and is suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boats. The facility includes restroom amenities, making it a comfortable starting point for day trips or longer paddling adventures.

From this launch, paddlers can explore the scenic Thornapple River or combine their trip by heading downstream to access the Grand River (located about 1/4 mile upstream from where the Thornapple meets the Grand).
