About This Access Site
Three Island Lake's public boat ramp provides access to a 288-acre lake located just south of MN Highway 200 in Brevik, Cass County. The access features an earthen single-lane ramp with parking for approximately 6 trucks and trailers near the lake's outlet. This is a DNR public water access site suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats of various sizes.

The lake has a maximum depth of 25 feet, though much of the water is less than 9 feet deep, making it accessible for shallow-draft vessels. Three Island Lake offers good fishing opportunities for northern pike, bass, and panfish including bluegills, sunfish, and perch. Be aware that winter ice travel is limited in areas with current that can create unsafe ice conditions. Nearby recreation options include access to the Mississippi River Headwaters and Leech Lake. Mabel Lake Campground is available in the area for those planning an extended visit, with both reservable and first-come, first-serve campsites available.
