Tiber Marina provides convenient access to Lake Elwell (Tiber Reservoir), a sprawling 21,300-acre impoundment on the Marias River in north-central Montana. Located 18 miles southwest of Chester, the marina features concrete boat ramps suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorboats, along with a full-service summer marina. The site is well-developed with campgrounds and picnic facilities, making it ideal for day trips or extended outings.
Lake Elwell offers excellent fishing opportunities for northern pike, walleye, and rainbow trout across its 181 miles of shoreline. The reservoir's large surface area provides ample room for paddling and exploration. For those interested in wildlife viewing, the Marias River below Tiber Dam is noted as a unique birdwatching area.
