Tinicum Park

Located in Tinicum Township along Route 32 near Erwinna, Tinicum Park offers a concrete boat ramp maintained by Bucks County Department of Parks and Recreation. The ramp itself is concrete, though the access drive is unpaved. Parking is limited to approximately 4 car/trailer combinations, with overflow parking available across the street at the main park entrance. The Delaware River at this location is a major waterway—the largest free-flowing river in the eastern United States—with significant flow averaging over 30,000 cubic feet per second and a moderate current of approximately 3 feet per second. Paddlers should be prepared for a substantial river with active flow conditions. The site provides access to the Lower Delaware National Wild and Scenic River, which winds through forests, farmlands, and historic villages. Primitive camping is also available on nearby Little Tinicum Island by permit through the William Penn Forest District (610-582-9660).
