**Location & Access**
The Toby Boat Ramp is located in Clarion, PA on the Clarion River and provides convenient access to this popular paddling and boating destination. The launch is easy to find and offers ample parking, making it a practical starting point for day trips and longer paddles. Access is available on the downstream side of the bridge on river left.
**River Conditions & Activities**
The Clarion River in this area offers diverse recreational opportunities depending on water levels. During periods of high water, experienced paddlers can enjoy Class 1 & 2 rapids. The river also supports excellent fishing for smallmouth bass and trophy brown trout. Be aware that water conditions are influenced by the Brookfield Power dam reservoir upstream, and the riverbed in this region may show iron staining. Paddlers should monitor water levels and conditions before launching and watch for recreational boat traffic in this popular area.
**Planning Your Visit**
Boat registration is required to launch (contact PA Fish & Boat Commission for details). The Clarion River confluence with the Allegheny River is at River Mile 0, which can help with trip planning. Multiple access points exist throughout the region if you're planning longer paddling routes.
