About This Access Site
Townsend Flowage is a 445-acre lake in Oconto County offering convenient public access via a gravel boat ramp on Red Maple Lane in Townsend. The ramp is trailer accessible, making it suitable for motorboats, kayaks, and canoes of various sizes. With a maximum depth of 30 feet, the flowage provides good conditions for recreational paddling across its expansive surface.

The lake supports a healthy population of fish species including walleye, northern pike, largemouth bass, musky, and panfish (bluegill, crappie, and perch), making it popular with anglers. Paddlers will find tranquil water conditions typical of a flowage environment.
