Located at mile marker 798.2 on the Mississippi River, just one mile north of Lock & Dam No. 3, Treasure Island Resort and Marina provides private boat access in the Sturgeon Lake Channel near Red Wing, Minnesota. This is a full-service marina facility offering 56 transient slips accommodating boats up to 100 feet, making it a convenient stopping point for both upstream and downstream river travel. The marina operates on VHF Channels 16 and 9 for communication with boaters.
When approaching by boat, exercise caution entering the Sturgeon Lake Channel approximately 0.3 miles north of the Sturgeon Lake Navigational Light (marked 798.2), as wing dams are present in the area. The channel is marked with red and green buoys. During high winds, if slips are unavailable, boaters can safely anchor in Sturgeon Lake outside the marked channel. This location puts you within the scenic Upper Mississippi River Valley between Red Wing and Winona, near both Pool 2 and Pool 4 recreation areas. Note that this is a private facility operated by the Prairie Island Indian community.
