Triangle Park

Triangle Park is a boat access site located approximately 5 miles northeast of Emmett, off State Highway 52, providing convenient access to Black Canyon Reservoir on the Payette River. The site features a concrete boat ramp, gravel parking area, and restroom facilities, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The reservoir offers a calmer water environment compared to the swift river sections upstream, making it accessible for a range of paddling skill levels.

This location is part of a cluster of recreational sites managed in the Black Canyon area, including nearby Wild Rose Park, Cobblestone Park, and Black Canyon Park. The area is known for boating and fishing opportunities. Camping is available at nearby facilities (for reservations, call 208-365-2682). The Payette River Corridor provides diverse water-related recreation, and the adjacent Montour Wildlife/Recreation Management Area offers additional outdoor opportunities. Given the reservoir setting, paddlers can expect relatively manageable conditions, though it's advisable to check current water levels and conditions before launching.
