About This Access Site
The Bowerman Boat Ramp provides access to the scenic Trinity Lake in the Whiskeytown-Shasta-Trinity National Recreation Area. This well-developed site is a great option for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats looking to explore the lake's 145 miles of tree-lined shoreline.

The ramp is located off Covington Drive, about 22 miles north of Weaverville. Several nearby campgrounds, including Ridgeville Island Boat-In and the reservable Minersville and Alpine View campgrounds, offer convenient options for overnight stays. Visitors should note that in developed recreation areas, dogs must be kept on a leash 6 feet or shorter.

Trinity Lake offers a variety of coves and arms that are perfect for fishing, picnicking, or simply enjoying a peaceful day on the water. Boaters and paddlers will find ample opportunities to discover the lake's natural beauty. With multiple boat ramps around the lake, including options at Trinity Center, Clark Springs, and Fairview, there are plenty of access points to choose from.
