Trout Lake - South

The South Trout Lake boat ramp, located near Sayner in Vilas County, provides paved launch access to this large 3,864-acre lake. The ramp features a paved surface and launch pier, making it suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats. This access point is conveniently situated at the southwest end of a nearby campground with amenities including drinking water and vault toilets.

Trout Lake is a deep, well-established fishing destination with a maximum depth of 117 feet, offering excellent paddling conditions across its expansive surface. The lake supports a healthy fishery including musky, northern pike, walleye, bass, panfish, and trout. Paddlers should note that there are three public boat launches on Trout Lake, providing multiple access options.
