Located at 8918 Midnight Pass Road on Siesta Key in Sarasota, Turtle Beach offers convenient access to Little Sarasota Bay with facilities designed for both motorized and non-motorized watercraft. The 17-acre facility features two separate boat ramps (one single-lane and one double-lane), dedicated hand-launch areas for kayaks and canoes, and courtesy docks for loading and unloading. With parking for 25 boat trailers, an accessible kayak launch, a canoe/kayak wash station, and restrooms, the ramp is well-equipped for paddlers planning day trips or exploring the bay.
Beyond the water access, Turtle Beach provides picnic shelters with grills, a playground, and beach access, making it a good base for both water recreation and family outings. Paddlers launching here will find themselves on Little Sarasota Bay, part of the Gulf of Mexico system, offering scenic exploration opportunities in the Sarasota area. The facility's separation of boat ramps helps manage traffic between different vessel types, making it a relatively organized launch point for kayakers and canoeists.
