About This Access Site
**Location & Facilities:** Turtle Lake County Park offers a public boat ramp located at the southeast corner of this 409-acre lake in Forada, Douglas County. The access point is county-owned and includes a picnic area and swimming beach alongside the boat launch. An ADA-compliant access ramp has been added to the service dock on the south side of the launch area.

**Lake Conditions:** Turtle Lake is a moderate-sized lake with a maximum depth of 28 feet and extensive shallow littoral zones (about 60% of the lake). Most of the shoreline is developed with single-family residences. Shore fishing is permitted in the area between the county beach and boat ramp.

**Planning Tips:** This is a popular access point, especially on weekends, so arrive early to secure a parking spot during peak times. The lake's size and depth make it suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats. Paddlers should be prepared for potential residential boat traffic and wake activity given the lake's popularity and development level.
