Turtle Lake

**Location & Facilities:** Turtle Lake County Park offers a public boat ramp and access area located at the southeast corner of this 409-acre lake in Fosston, Polk County. The county-owned facility includes a picnic area and swimming beach, making it a full-service recreation destination. Shore fishing is also permitted in the area between the county beach and boat ramp.

**Lake Characteristics:** Turtle Lake is a Class 24 water body with a maximum depth of 28 feet and extensive shallow water habitat (245 acres of littoral zone). The lake is popular with boaters and paddlers, particularly on weekends, so expect the access area to be busy during peak times.
