**Location & Facilities**
Turtle Lake's county-owned boat ramp is located at the southeast corner of the lake in Turtle Lake County Park, near Werner in Beltrami County. The access point includes a boat ramp, picnic area, and swimming beach. An ADA-compliant access ramp has been added to the service dock on the south side of the boat launch to improve accessibility for all paddlers and boaters.
**Lake Overview & Usage**
Turtle Lake is a 409-acre lake with a maximum depth of 28 feet and 60% littoral zone, making it suitable for kayaking, canoeing, and motorized boating. The lake is very popular, especially on weekends, so arrive early if visiting during peak times as the access area often reaches capacity. Shore anglers can fish from shore in the area between the county beach and ramp. Most of the shoreline is developed with single-family homes, so paddlers should be aware of private property boundaries and expect residential boat traffic during summer months.
