Turtle Lake State Water Access Site

**Location & Facilities:** Turtle Lake's public boat ramp is located at Turtle Lake County Park in the southeast corner of the lake near Browerville, Todd County. The site offers a county-operated boat ramp, picnic area, and swimming beach. An ADA-compliant access ramp has been added to improve accessibility for all users.

**Water Body Overview:** Turtle Lake is a 409-acre lake with a maximum depth of 28 feet and extensive shallow littoral areas (245 acres). The lake supports both motorized boating and paddling. Most of the shoreline is developed with residential homes, so expect a busy, popular lake—the access point frequently reaches capacity on weekends.

**Paddling Considerations:** Kayakers and canoeists will find plenty of water to explore, though the developed shoreline and popularity of the lake should be noted. Shore fishing is permitted in the area between the beach and boat ramp. Plan to arrive early on weekends, as parking and launch space are limited during peak times.
