Tuttle Lake Wetland Complex

The Tuttle Lake Wetland Complex provides boat launch access to Okamanpeedan Lake near Dolliver in Emmet County. This access point is located on the southeast corner of the lake, adjacent to Okamanpeedan State Park, a small day-use only facility without modern amenities. The primary recreational facilities are located at the Tuttle Lake County Park on the southwest shore, which offers a dedicated boat launch, 60 campsites with electrical hookups, and full amenities for overnight visitors.

Okamanpeedan Lake is suitable for kayaking, canoeing, and motorboating. Paddlers should be aware that the lake includes a wetland complex, which offers wildlife viewing opportunities but may have shallow areas and aquatic vegetation. The southeast access point near the state park provides a quieter alternative to the main county park launch if you prefer a day-use only option. For those planning an extended trip or needing facilities, the Tuttle Lake County Park on the opposite shore is the better equipped choice with camping and full services.
