About This Access Site
Twin Bridges is a well-developed public access point on the west shore of Lake Waco's South Bosque River arm, located conveniently within Waco city limits just north of I-35. The facility features a four-lane boat ramp, courtesy dock, ample vehicle parking, restrooms, and picnic areas—making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. An entry fee applies. Contact (254) 756-5359 for current information and to request parking passes.

The lake shoreline holds significant submerged timber that creates both hazards and fishing habitat, so paddlers should be cautious of snags and deadfall. The area offers two sandy beaches and is ideal for families seeking water recreation combined with land-based activities. For paddlers interested in longer adventures, the 20-mile Lacy Point Hiking and Biking Trail is accessible from nearby Lacy Point boat ramp, allowing for multiday trips combining paddling and trail exploration.
