About This Access Site
Twin Falls Park offers a day-use boat ramp on the Snake River, located two miles upstream of Shoshone Falls near Kimberly. The 10-acre park features a recently upgraded road and boat ramp access, along with restroom facilities, picnic areas, and scenic overlooks of the falls. This is a free access point with ample parking for launching paddlecraft and motorboats.

The Snake River at this location is a major river system with substantial flow—averaging nearly 50,000 cubic feet per second—and a steep average gradient of 15.8 ft/mile, indicating swift currents and demanding conditions. Paddlers should be experienced and prepared for fast-moving water. Note that watercraft inspection and decontamination stations operate at nearby locations; call 1-877-336-8676 for details. Nearby Murtaugh Boating Access (downstream) provides Class V whitewater opportunities when flows are sufficient, offering context for this section's intensity. Designated camping areas are available on a first-come, first-serve basis further along the river corridor.
