About This Access Site
Twin Groves is an uplake access point on Pilot Grove Creek near Lavon Lake in Collin County. The facility features a **two-lane boat ramp with no courtesy dock**, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and small to medium motorboats. To reach the ramp from McKinney, take US 380 east for approximately 12 miles and look for the park entrance on the north side of the road, before crossing the bridge.

This is a day-use-only access point with minimal facilities—no camping or picnicking amenities are available. Twin Groves is one of several reopened access points around Lavon Lake and is primarily designed for boat launching and water access. Paddlers should note that water conditions can vary seasonally, and it's recommended to check the Army Corps of Engineers closure report for any updates before visiting, as some facilities may be affected by high water or maintenance issues.
