Twin Lakes East

Twin Lakes East offers a public boat launch facility in Washburn, located in Bayfield County in northern Wisconsin. The ramp provides access to Twin Lakes East and is managed by the Washburn Ranger District. The parking area accommodates nine vehicles with boat trailers, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorboats launching for a day trip or longer paddling adventure.

This access point serves as a gateway to exploring the Twin Lakes area and nearby water recreation opportunities. The site is open seasonally from March 1 through October 31. Paddlers should note that equipment rentals (kayaks and stand-up paddleboards) may be available through local services. Before launching, check current water conditions and familiarize yourself with any applicable slow-no-wake regulations for the lake. The nearby Whittlesey Creek National Wildlife Refuge offers additional exploration opportunities for those interested in observing coastal wetland ecosystems on Lake Superior's south shore.
