Located in Paris, Edgar County, Illinois, the Twin Lakes - West boat ramp provides access to Lower Twin Lake and a channel that connects to Middle Twin Lake via a passage under Highway 100. This 120-acre lake features approximately 2 miles of shoreline and a maximum depth of 18 feet, making it suitable for kayaking, canoeing, and motorized boating. The access point includes a dedicated boat ramp facility on the west side of the lake.
The parking area accommodates nine vehicles with boat trailers. Note that a pass is required to park boat trailers at Three Rivers Park District boat launches from April 1 through November. The facility operates seasonally, so visitors should confirm availability before planning their trip. This launch serves as an excellent starting point for exploring the Twin Lakes system and is ideal for paddlers seeking calm, sheltered water conditions on a modest-sized lake.
