About This Access Site
Twin Lakes Wildlife Management Area offers boat ramp access to Lower Twin Lake and a channel connecting to Middle Twin Lake via Highway 100. The launch site features a dedicated lower parking lot with space for nine vehicles with trailers, making it the most convenient access point for paddlers. A parking permit is required from April 1 through November. Facilities are basic—parking and boat ramp only—with no amenities like restrooms or water.

This is an ideal location for kayakers and canoeists seeking a peaceful paddling experience. The area is designated as a wildlife management area, so boating is restricted to non-powered and electric motor boats only. The 255-acre lake complex with surrounding wildlife habitat offers scenic paddling opportunities. Located just 3.5 miles from Yankee Hill Lake and 14 miles west of Lincoln near Pleasant Dale, Twin Lakes is easily accessed from I-80 (Exit 388). Primitive camping is available on-site for those wanting to extend their visit, with Pawnee Dam-Site 14 Campground another option within 10 miles.
