About This Access Site
**Location & Launch:** Tygart Tailwaters offers a concrete boat ramp located in Grafton City Park, situated just downstream of Tygart Dam in north-central West Virginia. This is part of the larger Tygart Lake State Park recreation area. The access point is convenient for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats into the tailwater section of the Tygart River.

**Water Conditions & Recreation:** The tailwaters below the dam provide access to trout-stocked waters, with regular stocking occurring February through May and again in October. For current water conditions, lake levels, and dam release information, contact the Corps of Engineers hotline at 304-265-5953 or check the Tygart Lake USACE Facebook page. This is an ideal spot for anglers and paddlers looking to access the scenic Allegheny Mountain foothills region. The area also provides access to the northern end of Cheat Lake above Lake Lynn Dam, including the backwaters of Morgans Run and Rubles Run.

**Nearby Resources:** For additional information about the park, stocking schedules, and local conditions, call 304-265-6144 or visit www.tygartlake.com. The facility is non-reservable, making it a good option for day-use access.
