Tyler State Park offers convenient access to a 64-acre lake via two well-maintained 2-lane boat ramps with parking for approximately 50 vehicles. Located east of Tyler off Texas 64 and FM 848, this access point is ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboat users looking for a calm, manageable water body. The park also rents kayaks, canoes, and pedal boats on-site, making it accessible for visitors without their own equipment.
Beyond the ramps, the park provides excellent amenities including a lighted fishing pier, swimming area, and numerous camping options (RV sites, tent camping, cabins, and screened shelters). **Note:** The CCC road bridge is currently closed for repairs; use the southbound road to access the boat ramp and day-use areas. Anglers frequent the lake for crappie, perch, catfish, and bass, so expect moderate recreational activity during peak seasons.
