**Access Requirements & Location**
Davis Landing is a boat ramp located on Tyndall Air Force Base property, providing access to Wild Goose Lagoon and Saint Andrew Sound in Bay County, Florida. **Important: A Recreational Permit is required for all non-DoD personnel age 16 and older.** To obtain access or for current permit information, contact Tyndall AFB at 850-283-1113. The ramp is reached via Research Road off US 98.
**What to Expect**
This is a stand-alone ramp facility ideal for launching kayaks, canoes, and small boats into the shallow waters of Wild Goose Lagoon and the broader Saint Andrew Sound system. The area offers access to coastal paddling and fishing opportunities in the Atlantic Coastal Plain. Paddlers should note that this is a working military installation, so expect security checkpoints and restricted areas within the base.
**Planning Your Visit**
Before heading out, call ahead to confirm permit requirements, current access procedures, and any operational restrictions. Bring proper identification and have your recreational permit in order. Check local conditions in Saint Andrew Sound before launching, as coastal waters can be subject to tidal influences and weather changes.
