Located at the confluence of Calapooya Creek and the Umpqua River in Douglas County, Umpqua Landing is a modest river access site ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and small boat users. The facility features a short concrete boat ramp, vault-style restroom, and a few picnic tables. Note that the ramp has large gaps between concrete planks, so exercise caution when launching and retrieving boats and trailers.
The parking area is relatively small and better suited to passenger vehicles than large trailer rigs, though limited trailer parking is available. This is primarily a day-use access point for the Umpqua River. Paddlers should be aware of a permanent cyanobacteria advisory issued by the Oregon Health Authority for the Umpqua and South Umpqua Rivers—check current conditions before visiting.
For extended trips or overnight stays, two nearby reservable campgrounds offer convenient options: Eagleview Group Campground and Tyee Campground on the Umpqua River. The North Bank Habitat Management Area nearby provides additional recreation opportunities including hiking and biking trails.
