Unity Pond

Unity Pond's public boat ramp offers convenient access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats in central Waldo County. The hard-surface ramp measures 26 feet wide by 95 feet long with a 13.5% grade and includes a floating dock to assist with launching and landing. The facility is fully ADA accessible and provides ample parking with 18 spaces for vehicle-and-trailer combinations and 8 additional vehicle-only spaces. A day-use fee applies for launching.

The pond itself offers excellent recreational opportunities with diverse fishing and paddling experiences. Paddlers should note that the ramp is locally owned and maintained by the Town of Unity, and facilities do not include restrooms on-site. For those seeking alternative access or overnight camping options, a private campground on the south shore also offers boat launching for a fee. The nearby Carlton Pond Waterfowl Production Area provides additional paddling and wildlife viewing opportunities in the region.
