About This Access Site
The Little Maumelle River boat ramp in Little Rock, Arkansas provides access to this scenic waterway for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats. The ramp is located off Barnett (Sweetwater) Road, several miles downstream from Pinnacle Mountain State Park. A $5 fee is required to launch at this private ramp.

Paddlers can also access the Little Maumelle River from the public boat ramp above the I-430 bridge, about an 8-mile trip from the Barnett Road ramp. This stretch of the river features beautiful cypress groves and abundant wildlife. Additional launch points can be found at Pinnacle Mountain State Park and Two Rivers Park.

The Little Maumelle River is a relatively small, meandering waterway that flows into the larger Arkansas River. Paddlers can expect a calm, slow-moving current and opportunities to observe the river's diverse ecosystems and natural beauty.
