**Location & Basic Info**
The West access site on Upper Post Lake is located in Elcho, Langlade County, Wisconsin (coordinates: 45.456, -89.090). This is a publicly-owned boat ramp providing access to the 765-acre Upper Post Lake, which has a maximum depth of 14 feet.
**Ramp Conditions & Limitations**
The concrete ramp is 30 feet long, though only 23 feet extends usable distance from the water's edge. **Important note:** There is a hole at the end of the concrete, so this ramp may not be ideal for trailer launching. Paddlers with kayaks and canoes will have no trouble accessing from this site, but boaters with trailers should consider using the newer South Shore Landing instead to avoid potential damage.
**Best For**
This site works well for kayakers and canoeists launching directly from shore, as well as anglers looking to access the shallow, calm waters of Upper Post Lake. The modest lake depth and public access make it suitable for recreational paddling and fishing.
