About This Access Site
Upper Woods Pond is an 80-acre public lake in Pleasant Mount, Wayne County, Pennsylvania, offering a convenient launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and small boaters. The access site features one boat ramp with associated parking facilities and an accessible fishing pier. All unpowered boats must be registered or display a current launch permit, and innertubes and swim aids are not permitted on the water.

The pond is stocked regularly with trout by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, making it popular for both fishing and recreational paddling. Before visiting, note that the access road and facilities are occasionally closed for maintenance—most recently announced closures occurred in July and August 2025, so it's wise to check current status with the PFBC before your trip. The site's proximity to the scenic Upper Delaware River and Prompton Lake makes it a good base for exploring the broader Wayne County paddling area.
