The US175 Bridge access point provides a convenient public boat ramp on Cedar Creek Reservoir near Mabank. This two-lane paved ramp accommodates both motorboats and paddlers, with parking available for approximately 40 vehicles. The location offers straightforward access to the reservoir's open water, making it suitable for kayakers and canoeists launching onto the calm, lake-like conditions of Cedar Creek Reservoir.
To reach the ramp, take Texas 31 to Malakoff and head north on FM 198 for about 3 miles. The ramp entrance is located on the right side at the north end of the bridge. This is one of two primary public access points on the reservoir, making it a popular launching spot during peak recreation seasons. Paddlers should be aware that reservoir conditions and water levels can vary seasonally, so checking current conditions before launching is recommended.
