About This Access Site
The US67 Bridge access point on the Brazos River in Somervell County provides river access via County Road 316, located immediately past the bridge on the north side. To reach the site, take FM 199N to US-67 South and continue approximately 1 mile, then turn left on CR-316 and proceed 0.1 mile to the access area. This location offers a convenient entry point for kayakers, canoeists, and small boat operators looking to paddle the Brazos River.

Boaters should be aware that the Brazos River can experience significant current and water level fluctuations, particularly during high water conditions. Exercise caution when launching, especially if water levels are elevated. The access point is suitable for hand-launched or trailered small boats, though limited infrastructure may be available at this bridge crossing. Check water conditions before paddling, as the river's flow characteristics can vary considerably with seasonal rainfall and upstream releases.
