The Vandalia Boat Ramp is a well-maintained public launch located in the southeast section of Stonewall Jackson Lake Wildlife Management Area, off Skin Creek Road near Horner in Lewis County. This two-lane concrete ramp features courtesy docks and paved parking, making it a convenient access point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The site is maintained by the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources, which oversees public water access throughout the state.
This launch provides access to both Skin Creek and Charles Run, tributaries feeding into Stonewall Jackson Lake. The area offers good recreational opportunities in the Allegheny Plateau of the Appalachian Mountains. Nearby, paddlers can explore additional recreation areas including Stonewall Jackson Lake itself and Burnsville Lake, both offering hunting and fishing opportunities. The developed infrastructure at this ramp makes it suitable for various watercraft, from kayaks to larger recreational boats.
