Vermillion River (South)

The Vermillion River South boat ramp is located on the west side of the river in Hastings, Dakota County, providing convenient access to this popular paddling and fishing destination. The ramp features a dedicated access road off West River Road (watch for traffic from the south, which has right-of-way). A parking lot is available on-site. Launch fees apply: $7 for boats/jet skis and $3 for kayaks and canoes.

This access point is ideal for paddlers and anglers exploring the Vermillion River system. The area supports diverse fish species including northern pike, crappies, panfish, and bass, making it attractive for both recreational paddling and fishing. Motorized boats are permitted on the river.
