Veterans Memorial Park

Located in downtown Bay City on the west bank of the Saginaw River adjacent to Veterans Bridge and Liberty Harbor Marina, this concrete boat ramp provides straightforward access to a major regional waterway. The ramp measures 40 feet wide by 70 feet long, making it suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats. The park itself spans one and a half miles along the riverfront and offers picnic areas and fishing opportunities, with the Bay City Rail Trail also passing through the site.

The Saginaw River at this location is a wide, navigable waterway suitable for various paddling and boating activities. Being situated in the lower section of the river near the urban core of Bay City, paddlers can expect developed shorelines and access to downtown amenities. The location off M-13 north of Zilwaukee makes it easily accessible by vehicle, with adequate parking for boat trailers.
