Village Creek State Park offers a boat ramp and access site on the peaceful waters of Lake Austell. This 370-acre lake provides excellent opportunities for kayaking, canoeing, and small powerboat use. The boat ramp is open and available for use during the park's operating hours, typically from late spring through Labor Day.
The lake has a maximum depth of 30 feet and a shoreline of approximately 13 miles, creating a scenic and relatively sheltered paddling environment. Anglers can fish for bass, bream, catfish, and crappie from boats or the shoreline. Rental boats, electric motors, and basic fishing supplies are available at the park during the recreation season.
For those looking to explore the wider park, Village Creek State Park features over 33 miles of multi-use trails through the forested hills and streams of Crowley Ridge. Visitors can also enjoy the park's swimming beach, cabins, campsites, and picnic areas. With its diverse recreational offerings, Village Creek State Park is an excellent destination for paddlers, anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts.
