Wacca Wache Marina

Wacca Wache Landing is a well-developed public access point on the Waccamaw River in Georgetown County, offering excellent facilities for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. The landing features three boat ramps, a floating dock, ample parking, and trash facilities—making it convenient for launching and retrieving vessels of various sizes. The site is shared with Wachesaw Marina, which provides additional services and slip rentals for those planning extended trips.

The Waccamaw River at this location is a large, navigable waterway (Stream Order 7) with moderate flow averaging around 1,970 cubic feet per second. With a gentle average gradient of 0.3 feet per mile, the river is suitable for paddlers of varying skill levels, though current conditions should always be checked. From Wacca Wache, boaters have direct access to the Intracoastal Waterway and can reach the Atlantic Ocean approximately 145 miles downstream. The nearby Waccamaw National Wildlife Refuge offers scenic paddling opportunities in protected wetland habitats.
