Located south of Lewiston in Nez Perce County, the Waha Lake Boat Ramp provides one of the few public access points to this 146-acre impoundment. The site features a dock and boat ramp maintained by Idaho Department of Fish & Game, making it the primary public launch for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters wanting to access the lake. Note that the majority of Waha Lake's shoreline is privately owned, so this access site is essential for public recreation on the water.
The ramp area includes a campground (use permit required for groups of 15 or more; contact Fish & Game at 208-799-5010), parking, and basic facilities. Be aware that water levels on Waha Lake can fluctuate significantly, which may affect launch conditions throughout the season. The site is popular for fishing and general boating recreation. Recent improvements to the ramp, docks, parking area, and facilities have enhanced the overall usability of the site.
