About This Access Site
Walling Bend Park offers boat launch access to Lake Whitney, a 23,400-acre flood control reservoir on the Brazos River straddling Bosque and Hill Counties. The facility features two-lane concrete ramps suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorboats, with parking and restroom facilities available. There is no courtesy dock at this location. Note that Lake Whitney no longer accepts cash payments—credit/debit cards only. For questions or assistance, contact the park office at (254) 622-3332.

Located near the Lofers Bend East Campground area, this access point provides a convenient launching spot for exploring the lake's calm, reservoir waters. The surrounding area offers several other Corps of Engineers parks, a state park, and private marinas with additional boat ramps and services. From the dam, take Texas 22 east 5 miles, then turn right on Texas 56, followed by FM 2841, which ends at the park.
