About This Access Site
Walnut Creek Park offers a convenient boat ramp access point on the north shore of Keystone Lake near Prue, Oklahoma. The facility includes a concrete boat ramp, courtesy dock, and fishing dock, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The park features 24 campsites with full amenities including restrooms and showers, as well as a day-use area—ideal for paddlers planning an extended trip or overnight stay.

The surrounding area is scenic, with sandy beaches, wooded shorelines, high bluffs, and rolling prairie hills characteristic of Keystone Lake. The park also provides 17 miles of hiking and equestrian trails if you want to explore beyond the water. Note that parking is not guaranteed at any boat ramp, so arriving early is recommended, especially during peak season. To access the park from US-412, take the 209th Street exit west of Sand Springs, drive about 8 miles south on County Road 1521 just past Prue—the entrance is roughly 2 miles further. Along with camping, boating, and day use opportunities, the park also includes 17 miles of trail for hiking and equestrian access.

The park features a dump station, 50 amp electrical service at campsites and water hookups. The campground has restroom/shower facility, backstop, and boat ramp. 

Walnut Creek's Sand Plum Trail is approximately 17 miles in length, crossing flat to rolling terrain, and affords many vistas of Keystone Lake. The trail is available to hikers, equestrians, and mountain bike enthusiasts. Trail users are advised to stay on designated trails; quicksand may occur along lakeshore.
