West 81 provides a two-lane boat ramp on the western shore of Lower Twin Lake, offering convenient access to both Lower and Middle Twin Lake for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters. The facility includes a courtesy dock, paved parking, and is well-developed for day-use recreation. **Note: A park entrance license is required to access this site.** The ramp experiences moderate to high use during spring and summer months, with heavy activity during peak fishing season and tournament events, so plan accordingly.
The access area includes full amenities for a day outing: two comfort stations, picnic areas with shelters, designated swimming beaches, and a playground. The facility was recently upgraded with a new gatehouse (installed in 2017) and features 27 picnic sites.
