This public boat ramp and carry-in access point on the West Branch Fond du Lac River in Fond du Lac provides a convenient launching point for paddlers and boaters heading downstream. The site offers direct access to an open, scenic section of the river that features some of the area's best rapids and flows past the county airport. The immediate downstream area is characterized by multiple bridges, including Forest Avenue and Division Street crossings, along with a notable retaining wall on river-right that features a built-in rebar ladder serving as an emergency exit or alternate access point.
Paddlers should be aware this segment offers more dynamic water than some other sections of the Fond du Lac system. From this access point, it's approximately 3.2 miles downstream to the Fido Dog Park/Satterlee Street area via Rogersville Road. The West Branch eventually confluences with the East Branch, making this a good launching point for exploring both forks of the river system. This is a publicly-owned access site, making it a reliable option for day trips and recreational paddling.
