About This Access Site
**Location & Access:** White Flint Park is situated on the Leon River channel of Belton Lake near Moody in Bell County. From I-35 in Temple, take TX Highway 36 west toward Gatesville and turn right on White Flint Park Road just after crossing the Leon River bridge. The park features a two-lane concrete boat ramp with 24-hour free access, making it convenient for early morning launches or evening paddles.

**Facilities & Services:** This U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facility offers day-use parking on a first-come, first-serve basis (6 a.m.–8:30 p.m. daily; day-use fees apply, payment via QR code). The park also has overnight camping options with screened shelters and RV sites available through Recreation.gov reservations. For questions, call 254-986-3421. Note that ADA accessibility is limited.

With 136 miles of shoreline, Belton Lake offers a wide variety of recreation activities. White Flint Park is most popular for it's quiet, lake-side screen shelters. The Park offers a day use area complete with one multi-lane boat ramp. The lake is also a popular fishing spot for hybrid striped bass, largemouth bass, white bass, catfish and sunfish.  
White-tailed deer, hawks, great blue herons, ducks, geese, many species of songbirds, bobwhite quail, Rio Grande turkey, and even an occasional bald eagle visit the lake area, yielding year-round opportunities for wildlife enthusiasts and kids alike!

Facilities Description:
All campsites (RV) and Screen Shelters have water and electric, a covered picnic table, a charcoal grill, and fire ring. A water-bourne (Showers, sinks, flush toilets) are centrally located to the campground. Campsites range from heavily shaded to sun. White Flint Park is located next to the White Flint Wildlife Management Area, which boasts plenty of hiking and wildlife viewing opportunities. In the day use area, campers will find a 1-lane boat ramp with a courtesy dock and a vault restroom facility. The park offers 1 RV dump station (W/ Non-Potable water). Day use fees are now payable via QR codes found in the parking areas by the boat ramp. 

The park is staffed with on-site volunteer campground hosts and maintenance hosts.

Natural Features
All of the campsites are along the shoreline of Belton Lake. The campground is partially forested, providing a mixture of sun and shade.
There is a man-made wetland on the lake between White Flint and Winkler Parks, providing an additional 25 acres of wildlife habitat in the lake area.
Nearby Attractions
Belton Lake is located adjacent to the Fort Hood Army Base, which has several points of interest for the military buff. The mural painted on the spillway wall of Belton Dam depicts the history of the Bell County area.
