About This Access Site
The White River Ranchette boat ramp provides easy access to the headwaters of the mighty White River in northern Arkansas. Located just 26.5 miles downstream from Bull Shoals Dam, this access site features a large parking lot and concrete boat ramp suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and small motorized boats.

The White River is a major Ozark waterway, flowing over 1,000 miles with an average gradient of 7.4 feet per mile. With an average flow of nearly 35,000 cubic feet per second, paddlers can expect a steady current and potential challenges, especially during high water. Nearby campgrounds and recreation areas on Bull Shoals and Norfork Lakes offer additional opportunities for boating, fishing, and exploring the beautiful Ozark landscape.

Before visiting, kayakers and canoeists are encouraged to familiarize themselves with Arkansas boating regulations and safety best practices. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission website has helpful information to plan a safe and enjoyable trip on the White River.
