Whitefish Bay is a public boat launch located in Sturgeon Bay on Lake Michigan's Whitefish Bay, situated along the scenic Sturgeon Bay & Lake Michigan Ship Canal. The access area includes a picnic facility with tables, benches, and rustic restroom facilities. Note that the shoreline features limestone riprap, which can make launching and landing kayaks or canoes somewhat challenging—plan accordingly when entering or exiting the water.

**Access & Navigation Context**
This is a smaller launch facility best suited for kayaks, canoes, and smaller recreational boats (generally under 20 feet). Boaters planning to launch larger vessels should use the primary ramp facilities located in downtown Sturgeon Bay (approximately 15 miles south) or at Baileys Harbor (about 12 miles north). Whitefish Bay offers access to Lake Michigan waters and connects to the Ship Canal, a popular shortcut route through Door County's peninsula. This location is ideal for paddlers exploring the bay's protected waters and nearby coastal recreation areas.
